How to reset a lost or forgotten Twitter password

How to change the password of a Twitter account
This is the best way to avoid your account from locking, just keep all the information updated. Take a moment and ensure that you’ll never lose access to your account.
1.    Open ‘Twitter’ on your device.
2.    Go to ‘Login.’
3.    And, log in with your Twitter account.
4.    After login, click your ‘Profile’ icon near the upper right corner.
5.    Click and switch to the ‘Password’ tab.
6.    Type your current password.
7.    Type your new password.
8.    Verify, if ask.
9.    And click on ‘Save changes’ to save.
If you’re accessing your account but do not remember your account password, then go to the password settings page and send a password reset email to yourself.
How to send a password reset email to yourself
You can do this from the Twitter website as well as the app.
1.    Open ‘Twitter’ app or website.
2.    Now, go to ‘Sign in’ page.
3.    Here, you’ll see ‘Forget password.’
4.    Click on ‘Forget password.’
5.    Type your ‘Twitter username, Email address, or phone number.’
6.    Select to send a password reset email.
7.    Type an ‘Email address’ on which you can check the password reset email.
8.    Send the email.
Twitter will send an email immediately to the account you’d entered.
9.    Open the account receives the password reset email.
10.    Check for the mail from Twitter in your inbox.
11.    Under the email, you’ll see a link.
12.    It is a reset link, click on it.
13.    Enter a new password for your Twitter account.
And it’s done! The reset links you’ve received are time-sensitive. So, if you opened a link, then complete the process. If you open the link and leave it, then you may need to request a new one. Repeat the same process and request a new one.
How to send a password reset SMS to yourself
If a phone number is linked with your account, then you can request for a password reset SMS.
1.    Open ‘Twitter’ app or website.
2.    Now, go to ‘Sign in’ page.
3.    Here, you’ll see ‘Forget password.’
4.    Click on ‘Forget password.’
5.    Type your ‘Twitter username, Email address, or phone number.’
6.    Type your mobile number.
7.    Click ‘Search’.
8.    Click ‘Continue’.
9.    Enter the 6-digit password reset code you received.
10.    Click ‘Submit.’
11.    And, Type a new password.
And it’s done! The password code you received is valid for only 15 minutes. So, use it before it expires.
